Customized Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger for Syria Project
HC has recently completed the design and fabrication of a customized shell and tube heat exchanger for a client in Syria.The equipment was specifically engineered to meet the project’s operating conditions and site requirements, ensuring reliable heat transfer performance and long-term operational stability.
This heat exchanger adopts a horizontal shell-and-tube configuration, which is widely used in oil & gas and industrial process systems due to its mature design, high efficiency, and ease of maintenance. Based on the client’s process parameters, HC’s engineering team optimized the heat transfer area, tube arrangement, and shell structure to achieve the required thermal performance while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for on-site installation.

The pressure vessel was manufactured using high-quality carbon steel materials, with strict control over welding procedures and dimensional tolerances. All pressure-retaining components were fabricated and inspected in accordance with applicable international standards. Non-destructive testing and hydrostatic pressure testing were carried out to verify mechanical integrity and ensure safe operation under designed pressure and temperature conditions.
During the design stage, special attention was given to operating reliability under local working conditions. The heat exchanger was designed to handle continuous operation, with sufficient corrosion allowance and structural strength to adapt to long-term service in demanding environments. Nozzle orientation, support structure, and maintenance access were all considered to facilitate installation and routine inspection at the site.

The equipment features a robust saddle support design, providing stable load distribution and minimizing stress on the shell during operation and transportation. Surface treatment and coating were applied according to the project specification, offering effective protection against corrosion and extending service life.
