Recently, HC Petroleum Equipment has reached a cooperation agreement with a client in Angola to supply a skid-mounted vertical Mud Gas Separator (also known as Poor Boy Degasser) designed and manufactured in accordance with ASME standards. The equipment will be used in the oilfield’s surface facilities for gas-liquid separation and sand removal, ensuring safe and stable operation during well testing and early production.

The supplied Mud Gas Separator features a vertical cylindrical vessel with high gas separation efficiency and strong adaptability to high-pressure and high-sand environments. The unit is fully skid-mounted, integrating the vessel, pipelines, valves, and safety accessories for convenient transportation and quick installation on site. Based on the specific process parameters of the Angola project, HC’s engineering team optimized the internal flow path, inlet configuration, and discharge system to ensure stable performance under demanding field conditions.

All design and fabrication processes strictly comply with ASME Section VIII requirements. Pressure components are made of high-strength carbon steel, and all welding, non-destructive testing, and pressure testing are supervised by HC’s quality control department, guaranteeing long-term safety and reliability.
