HC Petroleum recently completed the delivery of a customized natural gas metering skid for an East African project. The unit has successfully arrived at the client’s site in Kenya, where unloading and preliminary positioning have been completed, marking the transition into the on-site installation phase.

The delivered skid features an integrated design combining gas pre-treatment and metering functions. It is primarily used to stabilize, clean, and measure natural gas before it enters downstream systems. During the manufacturing process, HC Petroleum strictly followed project-specific operating conditions, carefully selecting and matching key components to ensure reliability and adaptability under real field conditions.

According to on-site feedback, the equipment is compact in structure and well-arranged, enabling efficient installation. The skid was fully assembled and tested prior to shipment, significantly reducing on-site workload and shortening the commissioning timeline.

In natural gas processing and transportation, the gas stream often contains entrained liquids and solid particles. If not properly treated, these impurities can affect metering accuracy and potentially damage downstream equipment such as compressors and pipelines. To address this, the skid integrates gas-liquid separation and filtration units, ensuring stable flow conditions and gas cleanliness before entering the metering section. This not only improves measurement accuracy but also provides effective protection for downstream systems.

Given the complexities of overseas project environments, including transportation constraints and site conditions, HC Petroleum incorporated modular and skid-mounted design concepts from the early engineering stage. This approach enhances deployment efficiency and simplifies installation. The “shop fabrication + rapid field installation” model has been proven effective across multiple international projects.
